About Us

In 1960 a group of business people of Italian descent in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury formed the Club Montessori whose purpose was:

​

• to assist in academic and athletic/educational endeavours within the community school system;

• to further assist in the advancement of medicine; and

• to assist and promote special projects of interest to the community

​

The Club Montessori has been raising funds to donate to worthy causes in the Regional Municipality of Sudbury for over 60 years.  It has participated in a variety of programs and projects that reflect the diversity of its members as well as the diverse and special needs and worthy causes of the community it serves.  Its projects and actions are not limited to the Sudbury Region, but indeed influence other groups and communities in Northern Ontario, Ontario, Canada and in some cases, the world.
